How to avoid unnecessary wear of track/pads

  • To avoid unnecessary wear of track/pads and drive components always:
    • - Alternate turning from one side to another
    • - Drive up or down a slope instead of traversing
    • - Avoid making spin or pivot turns
    • - Travel with both tracks on a level surface
    • - Avoid striking concrete curbs or walls with the sides of the rubber track/pads
  • When purchasing a ramp for to load your tracked equipment, or purchasing rubber tracks/pads for an existing ramp try and ensure the design allows for minimum damage to your rubber tracks/pads:
    • - Make sure the width (if applicable) allows for clip on pads. (eliminates damage to your ramp and pads)
    • - Cross member supports are sufficiently spaced to eliminate catching/ pinching of rubber tracks/pads

If you need any advice in regard to your rubber track/Pad care then please sales1@gtw.com.au, who

What makes J’Tracks your best rubber track choice?

What makes J’Tracks your best rubber track choice?

Buy from a Manufacturer not a Distributor: Distributors do not have complete quality control.

Manufacturing Facility: 230,000 sqft “state of the art” facilities outside of Shanghai, China with
500+ employees, of which over 100 are professional rubber track technicians.
The facility has been thoroughly inspected by the OEM companies that we make tracks for.

Design: J’Tracks are designed by our engineers to suit specific weight and load requirements for
skid steer loaders and excavators, while enhancing their traction grip and extending wear life.
Lug patterns are designed for increased traction, decreased tearing, and even ground pressure.

Quality Control: Global Track has its own onsite quality control engineers and computerized
testing equipment; constantly testing for correct rubber curing time, tensile strength, and abrasion
resistance. The raw materials are tested upon arrival and the rubber tracks go through constant
testing during and after the production process.

Rubber Materials: A Premium Blend of Natural and Synthetic Virgin Rubber. Global Track
mixes its own rubber. Rubber tracks can be made cheaper by using increased amounts of
synthetic rubber or by using recycled rubber, but these tracks are more likely to fail prematurely.

Metal Links: Forged metal links are dipped and completely coated with a rubber adhesive
compound to make the rubber links less likely to be pulled out; others skip this process or they
brush on a little adhesive with a paint brush.

Metal Cables: Multi strand high tensile stainless blended internal wire cables are wound into one
continuous loop assembly and immersed in a special coating. This makes the strongest internal
cable system. Tracks produced with flat separate cables, or with cable windings that are not
looped assembly cost less, but are more likely to stretch and tear prematurely.

Production Presses: Global Track utilizes the newest ‘state of the art’ computer controlled rubber
track vulcanizing presses that control the vulcanizing temperature, humidity and cure time. These
presses do not allow J’Tracks to be taken out of the mold before they are fully cured. One of the
most time consuming and high cost processes in making rubber tracks is the correct cure time in
the mold. Some other rubber tracks are made cheaper by decreasing the time of the molding
process, resulting in a track with a decreased wear life and higher failure rate.

Mission Statement: Global Track is dedicated to Excellence, Innovation, and Consistent Quality.

Benefits of Rubber Tracks

Weighing track options for mini excavators or skid steer loaders can put you in quite a dilemma. It is really confusing to choose between rubber tracks and steel tracks for your machines. You need to choose the material of the tracks based on the costs, the terrain in which you plan to use them and the weather. These factors play a significant role in the durability of tracks.

To begin with, let us first understand why one should use continuous tracks over rubber tyres. Continuous tracks offer a large surface area, which distributes the weight of heavy vehicles better than tyres would. Tracked vehicles have better mobility on rough terrains, and are tougher than regular tyres and hence offer more durability than the latter. They offer better results in pulling and pushing large and heavy loads, whereas one can expect wheeled vehicles to dig into the ground.

As you are now aware of why one should prefer continuous tracks, let us now understand the difference between rubber tracks and steel tracks and which one serves a better purpose. Steel tracks are known for their longer life. Many experts feel that steel tracks do not wear off like rubber tracks and have double the life. They are popular to deal with stress better. Yet, steel tracks are noisier than rubber tracks. However, this can be an advantage for the safety of other people. The noise will make them aware that you are coming, giving them ample time to move.

Rubber tracks are a good option for pavements as they move easily on concrete finishes. However, on muddy roads, bushes and rocks, steel tracks are a better option. Rubber tracks provide a much smoother and quieter ride than steel tracks. So, if your work stays away from rough terrains, rubber tracks are definitely for you.

Rubber tracks lack slack in the system, so, if any debris gets between the tyre and the track, it will add tension to the track, axle and eventually the chain. Thus, steel tracks with rubber pads effectively help deal with this problem as they have slack in the track.

Steel tracks damage hard terrain like asphalt pavement. They often cause damage to less firm terrains too due to their sharp edges. To avoid damage to different types of terrains, rubber tracks offer the ideal solution. So, if you want to finish your work smoothly, without damaging any pavement, you can opt for rubber tracks or steel tracks with rubber pads.

How to choose ASV Rubber Track?

ASV Rubber Track undercarriage technology is now available on new developed loaders with rang of sizes and carrying capacities. Its features of exceptional traction ad lower ground pressure can make machine better emergency brake.

The weight of the ASV rubber track is lighter than normal rubber track. IT is more convenient to be transported and installed.By using ASV rubber tracks it’s good for energy-saving and emission-reduction. ASV rubber tracks are superior on shock absorption so that to be safe and comfortable driving.

We have both aramid string and polyester string for our ASY rubber tracks to avoid the track broken.Material of aramid string is strong in toughness which is same as what is used in the bullet proof vest.Currently ASV tracks can be used on construction, industrial, public, underground, forestry, agriculture and so on.

Replacing Your Rubber Track

In the construction industry there is often a heavy reliance on machinery. This is because they are convenient and powerful machines which dig soil, move and transport materials with ease, making them extremely useful in almost all construction sites. In this day and age, technology definitely has the upper hand as machines are able to get the job done smoothly which saves a lot of time and energy.

When using powerful machinery, it is important to ensure that you are keeping up with its maintenance so that its performance is not interrupted. You need to think about damage control when it comes to excavator machines which means that maintenance is not optional but mandatory.

The undercarriage of an excavator require special attention due to the fact that they are especially susceptible to damage. Purchasing high quality excavator rubber tracks not only minimises the machine downtime, but it can also help protect the undercarriage components like sprockets, idlers and rollers from excessive wear.

Even when the conditions are damp, rubber tracks will provide an excellent grip. Sometimes when you continuously use rubber tracks a noticeable tear will indicate that they need replacing. When replacing your rubber tracks, buying a high quality one is more cost effective as it will last for a longer period of time.

Not only do you need to find the right track for the right excavator but also you need to know how to fit it. Read the guide below to get an idea of how to do this:

1. Look for a small cover plate bolted onto the side of the track frame.
2. Unbolt the cover plate, and this will expose the greasing point, on the end of the track adjuster.
3. Lift the machine off the ground using the Dozer Blade and the boom, and chock the machine up to prevent it from dropping accidentally while you are changing the track.
4. Unscrew the greasing point from the end of the track adjuster to allow the grease to oose out. You should then be able to remove the rubber track as the piston retracts
5. Fit the new track onto the sprocket first, then carefully lift it over the idler. You may need to use a bar to lever in on carefully.
6. Re-fit the greasing point onto the track adjuster, and pump up with grease to re-tension the track.
7. Re-fit the cover plate on the side of the track frame, remove the chocks and lower the excavator to the ground.
8. You are now ready to operate your excavator again! Remember you may need some help you replace the track as they are heavy!

Skid steer for sale in Global Track warehouse

Bobcat’s dealer in the Australia region of Spain is celebrating a special sale of one of the company’s skid-steer loaders.

The S650 model is part of a range manufactured to celebrate production of the one millionth machine.

And Global Track warehouse, a dealer for nearly 40 years, sold the first of these new loaders to Murcia-based company Coysa Viguer.

The handover of the loader was a bit different as well.

Berry, owner of the legendary j-track, said: “I found out about the machine on my son’s birthday and he’s part of the company. I couldn’t imagine a better gift for him!

“Obviously it was a huge surprise for him. The machine was delivered during a dinner party we hold every year for our employees and friends which coincides with his birthday.
Berrys sales team went to the restaurant that evening and parked the machine at the entrance, after decorating it with a big bow. Then Marcos officially handed over the keys himself.”
J-track, which operates mainly in the public works market, now has six Bobcat compact loaders in total.
