GTW Rubber Track Maintenance

Get the maximum lifetime out of your rubber tracks by maintaining them properly with the tips below.

  • Avoid premature wear caused by work environments such as rocky terrain, gravel, demolition of concrete / cement, scrap metal, etc.
  • The more careful the operator to use equipment with chains or rubber pads, the better your performance and reduced wear
  • Avoid exposure to pollutants such as salt or oil. If the string / rubber pad has been contaminated should be cleaned immediately.
  • Before installing a new chain, check the components of shooting. May need to be replaced.
  • Try to keep components running clean always to avoid damage that could cause foreign bodies or mud
  • Minimize exposure to the sun, this helps reduce the aging process. The range of normal operating temperature is between -25 ° and +55 ° C. If necessary, reduce speed under extreme temperatures.
  • Check the chain tension on a regular rubber
  • To minimize unnecessary wear strings / pads and components running forever:
    • Switch turns on both sides
    • Up and down slopes rather than crossing
    • Avoid turning on its axis or roll
    • Drive with two strings at the same level of surface
    • Avoid hitting curbs or walls with the side of his strings / pads
  • When purchasing a ramp for loading your machine, or when purchasing strings / pads for existing ramp, make sure your design allows minimal damage to your strings / pads:
    • Check that the width(if applicable) allows clip pads. Eliminates damage to your ramp and their pads.
    • The spreaders are at the precise distance to avoid pinching the strings / pads
